Summer is heating up, and real estate agents need to stay cool while doing what they do best. Here are some tips for staying cool while out and about this summer:
Stay hydrated. Carry a water bottle with you always and consider packing a cooler with extra water for your clients.
Arrive early to showings. Arriving early will give you time to crank up the A/C so everyone can stay comfortable viewing the home.
Dress appropriately. Opt for breathable, lightweight fabrics such as cotton or linen. Remember, light colors also reflect heat to help you stay cool.
Find shade. Keep your car temperature manageable while waiting for clients or finishing up some paperwork. If you must park, find a shade tree and crack a window.
Bring a portable fan. Small, battery-operated fans can be a lifesaver during hot summer days. Keep one in the car in case a listing’s A/C malfunctions.
Pro Tip: Be sure your sellers have an Old Republic home warranty with A/C coverage so you can keep the home cool!
Stay comfortable and focused despite soaring temperatures—and above all, stay safe!
